General Description
The Consortium for Radiologic Imaging Studies of Polycystic Kidney Disease (CRISP) evaluates the accuracy and validity of imaging techniques at assessing autosomal-dominant polycystic kidney disease disease (ADPKD) progression through the implementation of prospective, longitudinal studies involving participants considered high-risk for renal insufficiency. ADPKD is characterized by a loss of renal function following gradual changes in both renal and renal cyst volumes, which cannot be detected by standard radiographic imaging due to low resolution, accuracy and reliability.
