The Type 1 Diabetes Genetics Consortium (T1DGC) was established as a global research network of recruitment centers that aimed to identify genetic risk factors for type 1 diabetes in families. In addition to expanding the available data and resources in this field of research, T1DGC collected renewable genetic materials for use in future research by the greater scientific community.
