As part of your annual renewal, NIDDK-CR reviews previously submitted requests to ensure compliance with current NIH/NIDDK policies and standards. You may notice new questions or required fields that were not included when your request was originally submitted.
As part of the renewal process, you are required to update your request when submitting your mandatory progress report. Using the “Modify Request” tab, please complete the following required updates:
- Complete all fields marked with a red asterisk, including any newly required or previously incomplete information.
- Update your Research Use Statement to clearly describe how your project aligns with the permitted use(s) for the requested study resources, as listed on the study overview page.
- Review and update the Data Security section to confirm alignment with NIST SP 800-171 or equivalent ISO standards (ISO/IEC 27001/27002), consistent with NIH security requirements.
You may copy and paste from your existing research plan, as appropriate. Please note that renewal requests with missing or incomplete required updates will not be processed until all revisions are submitted.
