General Description

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a significant public health problem that shortens lifespans and heavily utilizes healthcare resources. The CKD Consortium conducted studies investigating potential means for slowing the progression of CKD. The studies were designed to understand the impacts of different treatments on the progression of CKD, the development of kidney failure, and the overall gut health of people with CKD.
